Projects

These are some of my personal pet projects that I’ve worked on over the past few years. Some are obviously more polished than others, of course.

Josie
My FreeBSD server that tirelessly runs my home network and all the odd things I do.

The Food Calculator (PHP, offline)
Ever get lunch for an office full of people and tried to figure out who owes what? Help has arrived.

Movie Database (PHP, PostgreSQL) - Perpetual work in progress
Allows users to keep a database of their movies and lend them out to friends. Keeps track of who has what and due dates. Can also send notices and reminders.

Schedule Generator (PHP, offline)
Creates a week-long HTML schedule (5 or 7 days) for multiple people. Currently geared toward creating a work schedule. Only creates schedules for 6am-11pm.

Indiana Payroll Tax Calculator (PHP) [Link removed]
Calculates net pay for biweekly/monthly paychecks based on hourly wages. Currently only works for Indiana. I removed this because there is a much better calculator out there that works for any state and covers much more than mine does. It’s called PaycheckCity.com

Sliders Font
I created a font that mimiced the lettering from the TV Show “Sliders” a long, long time ago.

ADAPT - Advising Database For Academic Progress Tracking (JSP/Servlets, PostgreSQL) [Will not be linked]
Degree progress tracking system for the IPFW CS department advisors as an Independent Study project. It was written in Java using a combination of Servlets and JSP. Once loaded with degree programs, it allowed students and advisors to track progress and grades, find problem areas, and choose courses.
